JUNE 27: Outdoor Worship
Yes, it is finally here! A return to in-person worship!
We hope you will join us on the front lawn of FCC on Sunday, June 27th to close out this challenging program year and look ahead to a new beginning in the fall. The service will begin at 10:00 a.m.
We want to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe while attending so in deference to the children present and those who may be returning home to as yet unvaccinated family members, we are asking that people please wear masks to this worship service. They may be removed to enjoy the ice cream and popsicles that the Miners will be providing afterward (thank you Ron and Donna)! Sanitizing stations will be available with extra masks and hand sanitizer. Chairs will be available to place where you feel most comfortable or you can bring your own. The offering will be contactless.
This service will not be livestreamed so we hope you will plan to attend!
Please note: if it rains, we’ll let you know in advance on the website fccmelrose.org and through an email blast (sign up for our newsletter!) that we would not meet in person at church. We would hold an indoor service with our worship team only, but we would then hold an additional Coffee Hour on Zoom afterwards at 11 via the usual link.
Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to bring us through this year of pandemic and we look forward to “seeing you in church” on the 27th!
Bread of Life: Bring a Food Pantry Item to Donate
We are hoping to collect the final donations of food for Bread of Life, as the office will be closed from July through mid-August. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food donation when you join us for worship!
Did I See Something About Ice Cream?
In previous years we have had cookouts to celebrate the end of our program year here at the church. We are not quite ready to resume that tradition yet, but in the spirit of fellowship we will have ice cream bars and popsicles for everyone after the outdoor service on June 27 as long as we don’t get rained out! Look for Fellowship Deacons Ron and Donna Miner after the service.
Have a wonderful summer!
