| Our multi-generational choir, the Morning Star Voices, rehearses on Tuesday nights (September through June) at 7:15 PM, and again from 9 AM until 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings before Worship. The Choir sings on Sunday mornings in the worship service. Contact: Mariko Matsumura, Music Director.
Treblemakers is a choir of children ages three to third grade. They rehearse and sing in worship four times during the program year. Contact: Beth Hampson, Laura Pollica, Jaime McAllister-Grande. Jubilate Ringers, our handbell choir, rehearses Wednesday evenings (September through June) from 7:15 PM until 9:15 PM. They play one Sunday each month, as well as additional special programs in the church and in the community. Contact: Jim Oosterman. Other members of our Church with similar music interests periodically perform such as the New Day String Band and our Youth’s contemporary band ‘Band of Praise’. Music may be given in memory of a loved one orin honor of a special occasion. See any of our Music Directors if you would like to consider such a donation. Contact: Mariko Matsumura, Music Director. Instrumentalists (volunteer & paid) are occasionally engaged to enhance the worship experience. If you or someone you know might be interested in playing or funding such an occasion contact Mariko Matsumura, Music Director. We also invite artists to perform for special concerts. Often these concerts raise funds for the ministries of the church such as the Melrose Community Fund and Refugee Immigration Ministry.
