| We are grateful for our vibrant musical community here at church! We feature a wide variety of our musical styles from congregants who are professional to accomplished avocational musicians. We are pleased to share the tremendous amount of talent within our congregation to uplift the voice of God.
To learn more about any of our music ministries, contact our Director Mariko Matsumura. Here are some of our opportunities:
- Our multi-generational choir, the Morning Star Voices, sings various parts of the worship service, including the introit, response, anthem, and hymns. They generally sing one to two times per month and are joined by our professional soprano soloist Beth Grzegorzewski, who sings weekly during the worship service.
- Treblemakers is a choir of children which may range from preschool through middle school. They rehearse and sing in worship several times during the program year. They perform on the ukulele and chimes as well.
- The Jubilate Ringers is our intergenerational handbell choir. They play monthly and at special times of the church year. Contact Jim Oosterman for more information.
- The New Day String Band may feature any combination of violin, viola, cello, double bass, mandolin, guitar, or harp!
- Our children and youth perform in a variety of ensemble configurations and as solosists. On any given Sunday we may feature a pianist/flautist/trumpeter, a quintet of vocalists, parent-child ensembles, or a rock praise band.
