Our older youth meet weekly under the guidance of our Deacons of Youth Ministry. We begin together in the sanctuary with our families, and then head off to our classrooms with the teachers after the Children’s Sermon.

Our philosophy incorporates applying Bible studies to our modern times. We have discussions about their experiences at school, and students share their perspectives on how to incorporate Christian principles in their daily lives. This is truly faith formation!
Guided by curriculum, we discuss topics such as racism, the power of words, violence, the Beatitudes, friendship, competition, faith, the Holy Spirit, and “what would Jesus do?” The goal of the youth classes is to support students as they figure out who they are and what they believe in, and in living out their faith.

We plan a variety of fun, extra-curricular activities depending on the interests of the youth!
Some of our service-related work has included:
- Serving meals at the Bread of Life
- Raking leaves and sometimes shoveling snow for our elderly or homebound members
- Building and painting locally with Habitat for Humanity
- Providing babysitting at church for a greatly appreciated “Parent Night Out”
- Collecting toys and coats for Coat Boston & The Holiday Shop (formerly “City Mission”)
- Helping sort hundreds of donations at the organization at the end of the larger collection period
- Raising money to combat hunger by making and serving soup during the SouperBowl of Caring
- And more…
