It’s been truly wonderful to see such strong attendance and energy in worship during this “welcome back” season! Our sanctuary has been filled with warmth, laughter, music, and the beautiful sound of people reconnecting. That reconnection is happening not just with one another, but with God.
As we move toward the holiday season, this is the perfect time to share that joy by inviting someone new to join us. Now, I know that sounds daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. The reason? Many people are already searching (consciously or unconsciously) for what we offer here at FCC.
You never know who among your friends or family might be looking for what we’ve found here: a faith community that’s open-minded, compassionate, and down to earth. So many people are longing for a place where they can ask questions, belong without judgment, and rediscover their worth as beloved children of God. Our church offers just that kind of space where faith grows deeper, hope grows stronger, and love grows wider.
Being part of a positive, progressive church helps us become better versions of ourselves. It really does. It reminds us that following Christ isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about living with grace, justice, and kindness. It’s about seeing God’s image not only in ourselves, but in every person we meet.
As the holidays draw near, when hearts are especially open to connection and meaning, think about who in your life could use an invitation to worship, to community, and to renewal. Sometimes all it takes is a simple, heartfelt “Come with me.”
Let’s keep the spirit growing here at FCC and share with others the joy of discovering who we truly are: beloved children of God and disciples of our Christ of empowerment and grace.
See you in church,
–Rev. Dominic
